Maybe I've watched to many action movies or been intrigued by night vision goggles for far too long, but now is the perfect time to "go dark" with my blog, as in, I will be "off the grid" for a while. Not goth or creepy. What could be detouring my attention? What could make me so busy that I couldn't spend time on the blog? What could have this mommy so stressed out?
Let's make a game out of it, shall we?
I want you to put your guesses in the comment boxes below, of what you think is keeping me from traditional blogging the next two weeks. Sorry, no prizes, for I do not have time for them. But who ever guesses right, will get their name and blog in giant letters in a post. The following posts have yet to be determined, but think outside the box.
I will give you a hint:
I'm surrounded by squares.
Now go!!
LOVE YA, FOODIES!
you've become a mason?
ReplyDeleteYou're commissioned to make 500 square brownies at a farm with square fields with no internet.
ReplyDeleteYou're starting up your own cracker factory?
ReplyDeletei suspect some dark chocolate squares keepin' ya busy - either that or you are moving and need to pack up the chantecito....
ReplyDeleteAre doing what I'm doing? I'll be taking a short break too!
ReplyDelete-Gina-
You are wrapping Xmas gifts? or is it that you have turned into Square Pants Spongebob?
ReplyDeleteOk, let's start a list here... Squares. Savannah is full of squares. Are you on vacation? Boring people are squares. Are you surrounded by boring people? Checkerboards are full of squares. Are you playing in a tournament with a previously unknown to us talent? Boxes can be square. Are you surrounded by boxes? If so, I hope for your sake they're full of your favorite candy! So, you're on vacation in Savannah with a bunch of boring people and all everyone wants to do is play checkers and eat caramels out of square boxes? Kate @ kateiscooking
ReplyDeleteI know, but I'm not tellin'!!! We'll miss you! Enjoy every minute of life during your "off the grid" episode.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
How fun! Surrounded by squares...
ReplyDeleteCould it be that you need to wrap all those Christmas gifts (boxes)? Or that you have to dedicate time to entertaining a group of really boring people (as in the 50s slang "squares")?
Can we have multiple guesses?
ReplyDeleteYou are re-tiling your bathroom?
I was wondering where you were and what you were up to. Thought maybe PFB had worn you out. HOpe you will keep blogging in the future, when whatever this is, is no longer occupying your attention.
These guesses are great! You guys have me giggling so hard. ONE of you is pretty darn warm...and no, I'm not tiling, making crackers, brownies, vactioning, wrapping presents or surrounded by boring people. I do wish I was opening a cracker factory though. That sounds really cool!
ReplyDeleteAre you moving (with boxes)? Or just hanging out with a bunch of boring people?
ReplyDeleteIt's a gameshow, right?? I don't know any US gameshows but maybe there's one with, like, pick-a-box (old Aussie classic, probably copied directly from US) anagrams (reeaallly old one), Sale of The Century (pick the celebrity square) etc etc.
ReplyDeleteOr a kind of crossword - wait! that's it! Isn't the annual NY Times crossword competition about now??
Moving boxes? are you packing? hmmmmmm!
ReplyDeletePacking boxes? are you moving? hmmmmmm!
ReplyDeleteYou will be surrounded by Luddites for the holidays who will not allow you to be on the computer.
ReplyDeleteOR...
You're a contestant on Hollywood Squares (is that show still on?).
AK
Oh gosh. This is going to bother me all day. I'm going to do some serious thinking while wrapping up classes.
ReplyDeleteMy first thought, of course, was that you have been contracted by the government to make holiday cookies laced with a rare poison that will make any deaths look like an "accident." They need to be square to pack easily into hundreds of boxes. But then I thought... nah. So I'm going with hundreds of foil wrapped chocolates for charity?
ReplyDeleteYou're making a quilt!
ReplyDeleteFun travel?!? London???
ReplyDeleteYou must be competing in a chess tournament... Is that a checkmate? If so, demolish your opponent soon so you can return to blogging - we can't have you away too long, there'll be withdrawal symptoms!
